Lag after connecting a 3rd base — should I split it up?

Playing on a dedicated server with a friend, both running roughly GTX 2060-tier PCs, the poster connected a 3rd base plot to a 4-base area and now notices lag even with only 20 Pals stationed there. Since the base is only used for mining and breeding and rarely visited, they're debating whether to split it apart or just leave it running.

Mod for vertically stacking storage, farms, and Pal beds — with changelog

The post introduces a Steam Workshop mod that lets players snap-stack storage boxes, farm plots, and Pal beds vertically. Version 1.1.02 adds vertical stacking support for 5 Pal bed types and blueprint-state stacking for storage boxes, plus adjusted stacking spacing and improved compatibility with the latest game version. The author notes the mod likely won't work properly on dedicated servers and can't guarantee it.

Building trick uses the alignment tool to wedge an extractor mid-air

The poster shares a method: build a pillar up to the 2nd floor on a diagonal wall, align and place a Skill Fruit farm facing that wall, then tear down the wall and align an extractor onto the 2nd-floor pillar so it stays wedged (locked) in mid-air. They call it a quirky exploit of the building system and are amazed anyone figured it out.

Sharing coordinates where merchant events spawn often (cliffside)

While building a honeymoon house with their in-game partner Noksaju on a cliff edge, the poster noticed merchant-related events triggering unusually often — even the Gourmet and Vegetable Merchant showed up despite never specifically farming for merchants. They shared the coordinates, noting the base and Pal Box both sit right on the cliff's edge.

Building eats hours before you know it

Once the poster started building, nothing looked right, so they kept redoing it over and over — and several hours vanished in an instant. They describe building as almost scary for how much time it consumes.

Should I Replace Mining Bases with Material Generators?

The poster asks whether, once the Material Generator (물질생성기) is unlocked, they should tear down existing mining bases and fill them entirely with generators instead. They're unsure about the actual efficiency gain even with plenty of Alpha Sekhmet, and admit their real complaint is that a base cluttered with every mining facility just looks ugly.
